A little info about Go Carts and Dune Buggys!
Want to race on an asphalt road or dirt track? Then, it’s time to start Go-Kart-ing. A Go-Kart can be described as a small-four wheeled vehicle that comes in a wide selection of variants. Whether you are a beginner or a professional rider, you can always have fun with this vehicle, and Go-Karts tracks are available indoors or outdoors. Go-Karts can come in motorless models as well as high-powered racing machines, which are capable of beating racing cars on long circuits (i.e. Superkarts).
The simplest form of Go-karts is the Soap Box Derby cart which is propelled by gravity. In theme parks, go-karts are powered by 4-stroke engines (which are standard air-cooled industrial based engines ranging from 5 to 20 hp) or low maintenance electric motors. For a racing enthusiast, a faster and more powerful cart with 4-stroke engines up to 15 hp is offered.
For riders who dream of racing on a country side, or more specifically, beaches or sand dunes, the DUNE BUGGY is highly recommended. The Dune buggy is a recreational vehicle with wide tires and large wheels solely intended for riding on beaches or sand dunes. The design is a modified vehicle and engine mounted on a chassis which allows for an increase in the power-to-weight ratio to make the vehicle lighter or increase engine power. They are sometime called a “Beach Buggy” and designed for open sand riding. Karts designed specifically for open sand riding are also called sandrails.
